Vertical panels with narrow trim boards (battens) over the seams. With Hardie® products that is Hardie® Panel Vertical Siding plus Hardie® Trim battens.
Can I mix vertical and lap siding?
Yes. A common look is lap siding on the main walls and vertical panel on gables or the entry.
Is it done with the roof?
It can be. Doing roof and siding together means one schedule and the exterior done once.
